HI 42 Honolulu Hana, Dash-8 series 100, 31 min, 115 NM. IFV frout on airway V15, VFR descent and approach on rwy 26.

 

HI 50 Honolulu Molokai ATR-42, 15 min, 50 NM.

 

HI 70 Honolulu Lanai ATR-42, 23 min, 85 NM. Usual IFR approach via the elaborate DME-arc procedure. Perfect landing.

 

HI 92 Lihue Kahului Hilo, A320, 1 hour 4 min, 333 NM. Nice IFR test of the new A320

 

HI 102 Honolulu Princeville, Dsh-8 series 100, 29 min, 39 NM. Nice VFR flight, hairy landing on the very narrow runway.

 

HI 180 Panoramic flight from Kona to Volcano National park, ATR 42, 37 min, 145 NM.

 

HI 186 Honolulu Place of refuge, CL 215, 54 min. Divers transport with the excellent Canadair fire-fighter: it is as good as a transport, with huge and powerful radial engines, very stable and easy to fly. The passengers like it. Flight at 6000 ft altitude, to gain some time and speed and save fuel, because the passengers didn't dive yet.

 

HI 650 Milan Munich Vienna. A320, 1 hour 22 min. Nice flight over the new European sceneries

 

HI 656 Milan Rome A340 48 min 319 NM. Very smooth and peaceful Christmas flight. VOR approach on runway 07.

 

HI 659 Milan Paris London, A320, 1 hour 31 min, 572 NM. Long IFR flight and another test of the latest A320.

 

HI 721 Bora Bora Raiatea Huahine ATR-42 19 min 56 NM. During this flight, I realized that there is a 12 deg magnetic variation in french Polinesia, so that I have to subtract 12 from the headings reported on the charts. This was the reason why during my IFR flights and approaches, I was never correctly aligned!

 

HI 722 Huaine Raiatea Bora Bora ATR-42 27 min 90 NM: At great passengers request, the pilot performed sight-seeing tours of Huhihne and Tahaa during the flight. Spectacular view of the islands.

 

HI 723 Bora Bora Tahaa, DHC-2 Beaver, 36 min, 65NM. Flight included a complete sight-seeing tour around Raiatea, the sacred island. Altitude was 3000ft. After flying again over Uturoa, Raiatea's main city and FP second, I descended to 1000ft over the reef and circled the eastern side of Tahaa, landing in the lagoon, between Patio (helipad) and Motu (islet) Poaraara. The passengers plunged directly in the low and warm water. It's paradise, here.

 

HI 724 Tahaa Bora Bora, DHC-2 Beaver, 12 min, 18 NM. A quick flight back, the passenger were late for the afternoon barbecue at Bora Bora. I landed on the runway, this time. It is always a pleasure to fly Tim Hill's Beaver.

 

HI 725 Bora Bora Maupiti ATR-42 14 min 38NM. Panoramic tour of Maupiti before landing.

 

HI 726 Maupiti Bora Bora ATR-42 9 min 28 NM:Very short flight back

 

Los Angeles Tahiti, 7 hours 45 min, 3500NM, 747-400 PS1 simulator. Great flight with the "sister" simulator for Hawaiian International. Replica of my honeymoon!
