SUMMARY
This month I followed a short “refreshing” training at Alitalia’s flying school at Alghero in the island of Sardinia. After that, I flew back to mainland Italy and did many flights, all chartered by Alitalia, to/from neighbouring countries: France, Greece and Switzerland. To improve training, I flew different routes, or flew the same route again with different planes. All flight plans are provided by Alitalia, from its virtualitalia.com web site.

Total legs flown: 10
Total time flown: 9 hours 28 minutes

Comments: a great month of excellent training, all with original flight plans and charts. Added much to my skill and experience in planning and flying safely.

Great flying the King Air! You have to use more navigation skills without a
GPS, but I look forward to it to help hone my IFR skills. I LOVE watching the needles center; when they don't, I usually have to scramble for the charts! (Oh WHERE did they go?!)

Correction on 11/29/01 HI35 flight. Should read. "Outbound from Lanai VOR 290 degrees to ROSHE intercept". Please note that I will be out for about a week to touch up on flying skills at the Maui Aviators School with a Cessna 172 then will be getting assimulated in new P-50 Mustang rebuild for December 7th fly in at Pearl Harbor. Will be back on duty on the 9th. We are looking for Japanese Zero planes/foils/plans/diagrams. If anyone can help us out please e-mail info to mauiduck@maui.net forum
