Lonely flight to Lihue for 30 minutes using XP 5.40. Incredibly busy this month and the next few months. Will not bid as heavily as this month.
Looking to improve bidding process and flights for HIVA.

Flight report for September 2000
HI 88 Lihue Honolulu Airbus A-319 23 min 92 NM 3236lbs fuel.
HI 89 Honolulu Lihue Airbus A-319 24 min 99 NM 2502 lbs fuel. These two flights have been conducted gate-to-gate, with full ATC support, with engine start-up and shut-down, ground taxy and the like. Very realistic, especially the high fuel consumption in the first flight, caused by a mistake choosing the correct flight level. First flight also with version 5.34, that is running quite fine.
HI 90 Honolulu Kahului Kona Airbus A-319 49 min 194 NM 4423 lbs fuel. This time I boarded a very light fuel load (7500lbs) that was more than adequate, even with two departures. The plane in this setting is very light and a delight to handle.
HI180 Kona volcano park sight seeing King-Air 42 min 427 lbs fuel. Nice VFR sight-seeing flights, its a shame that an accurate scenery for Hawaii is still missing.
HI 15 Kona Honolulu Airbus A-319 30 min 151 NM 4042 lbs fuel. I checked with this flight, if my fuel consumption previews were correct, so I loaded the least fuel: I landed, taxied and shut-off, just to discover that there where just 38 lbs fuel remaining in the tanks!
HI 204 Honolulu Tahiti Auckland 747-400 PS1, 10 hours 31 min 4621 NM. Lost engine n.1 before starting descent do Auckland, and proceeded successfully to a smooth landing.
HI 701 Tahiti Moorea Columbus 400 15 min 33 NM 20 lbs fuel, including sight-seeing flight around Moorea. I tested this new plane, with its innovative HITS instrumentation. Its very interesting, indeed.
HI 702 Moorea Tahiti Columbus 400, 14 min, 30 NM, 20 lbs fuel. IFR flight, with ATC support and ILS landing. It was possible to handle the flight well with the HITS instrument.

REMARKS: Fast climb. Reached FL370 in 21 min. M.815 @ cruise. 60kt tailwind en route. This A/C also felt very sloppy in landing config. Wondering if sim is acting up. XP map data for area bet. BRADFORD VOR and ORD-VOR way off. BRADFORD-3 arrival required lots of modification. Oh, well. It's only a sim.

ROUTING: O'HARE-1 dep. via BOZZO; GPS d. MUSTANG-VOR; LOCKE-1 arr. SFO rwy 19L
REMARKS: 44kt. headwind en route. G/S 462kts. Great ride at 390, but very choppy descent. One mountain wave near MODESTO, snapped throttles back to idle, a/c hit overspeed briefly then returned to cruise. Excellent crosswind landing at 19L. Great flight. Great XPlane A/C by Gazzawi/Santagada. Flies great in all configs. Coordinated turns very easily accomplished, unlike the Ver. 5.32 B777. Will use their a/c exclusively from now on. X-Plane internal map correlated very accurately to real charts this time.
